I am also now the granny, but did a paper run as a teenager delivering the Chch Star (when it used to be a daily broadsheet) - one of several jobs that I got because my 18 month old brother got them first. Big money - I think I started on about $9 per week.

I think with the rapid increase in med density housing in this block post quake, the demand is likely there and who knows, some customers could easily just walk there. No doubt the owners of the Supervalue in Edgeware Road will be unhappy.

Mainstream media obsesses over Te Pāti Māori as if Parliament is where rangatiratanga happens. It's not. The real exercise of rangatiratanga is done in Iwi boardrooms managing billions in assets, Hapū asserting authority over whenua me wai, and whānau/whanui making decisions about their future.
