#bloctober day 15, not sure where that little tire swing came from but I’m not mad about it. Would you like to own this drawing? If you donate $25 or more to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, I’ll send you this drawing as a thank-you. pcrf.net to donate, new drawings all month long.

#gardening Many thousands of (scarlet nantes) carrot seeds, and there's still so many to pick off more of the dried flower heads 😵‍💫
I saved these seeds for at least a couple of years' worth of carrots for my garden, plus a lot to share. Not too sure of the germination rate though.

#gardening photodump!

Look at these glossy boys (Diamond eggplants), little native bee sleeping in a zinnia, and some honker hardneck garlics I grew that it's time to plant out for next year's bulbs.
two medium sized dark, glossy eggplants I grew, on a cutting board. The variety name is 'Diamond'. It's well suited to this region (PNW) Photo of a pink zinnia flower, with a cute little bee sheltering between layers of petals photo of a box of garlic and shallots, and my hand holding one large head of garlic to give a sense of scale. photo of my hand holding two very large garlic cloves, 2-3 times the size of a regular garlic clove

Seeing multiple artists lately say they got covid at cons even while masking but then I see photos of most people wearing loose fitting ear-loop masks. For maximum protection you NEED A TIGHT SEAL! Head-loop masks like N95 are best (or at least get ear loop adjusters/mask tape so KN95 fits tighter).

I've been picking out past designs for a dozen postcard designs and here are a few of the chosen ones! I'm picking out quite a range of my aerial embroidery landscapes from the past few years, its been great to go back and see them all :) which of the 4 below are you most drawn to?
A tilted photo of an embroidered aerial-view landscape. It depicts a rocky moorland scene with shrubs, a brook and boulders made of painted pine bark. An embroidered aerial-view landscape depicting late summer agricultural fields. The woodland area in the centre has dirt paths running through. An embroidered aerial-view landscape depicting cherry blossoms and an orchard, all cut through with dirt roads. A tilted photo of an embroidered aerial-view landscape. It depicts a geometric rose garden with a fountain in the centre made from a repurposed clock cog.

Hen and Wren.
Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.
Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen and a Wren regarding each other quizzically. The hen stands in a patch of wild grasses whilst the wren perches on a small, leafless shrub in front of her. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache. The drawing is finely wrought and intricate. The piece is roughly the size of a business card.
