Ah this answers my question. I think if misunderstood what you meant by self justifying for some reason. Yeah a lot of stories do portray evil as some sort of essentialist quality people have and not an expression of power dynamics.

This is genuine curiosity as a struggling writer trying to take on these themes. Is exploitation not self justifying? There is an obvious mechanism for fulfillment. IE the exploited gets material wealth in turn for exploiting an "other".

In my experience its because vet clinics are expected to hold up every part of let health including behavior. One of our doctors at the clinic i worked at would blank out hour long behavioral health phone calls abd call it a wash of sn appointment. Then we end up medicating anxiety with sedatives.

86% of lbgt people regardless of race also voted against Trump. LBGT are similarly marginalized. So that does feel like it is a manner of who holds privilege in this country rather than simply race.
