We watched Bring Her Back the other night. Gnarly as hell, but an instructive film if you're interested in why the similarly themed Hereditary and The Babadook are classics of the A24 Horror era but this isn't. You can feel the difference somehow.

The Hearth (1/21)

A sapphic horror comic about witchcraft and hunger in the dead of winter.

An illustrated cover for a short comic called The Hearth by lainey williams. A cabin sits in a clearing in a snowy forest. The small windows in the log cabin are lit yellow and there is a trail of blood through the snow leading to the door. Smoke rises from the cabin’s chimney to surround the title. weird phenomenon i keep encountering where “writers” correctly identify the soul-sucking danger that large language models pose to their craft, but for some reason have no problem using generative AI to make images. like….are you stupid!!!!

Sex scenes are almost never "gratuitous" or "unnecessary." You learn things about characters and relationships during sex that you can't really learn any other way, such as whether they're into fisting.
