If it is correct that Bridget Phillipson is sitting on the new, post Supreme Court ruling EHRC guidance on trans rights (and I think it v. plausible) so as not to lose deputy leadership votes of pro-LGBT+ MPs, then not only is that sickeningly cynical, but guidance must be off-the-scale extreme.

I think it’s vital that we observe the international networks that are working to eliminate abortion access. And just as vital that we observe that journalists only notice attacks on reproductive and other bodily and social freedoms once they affect people those journalists regard as fully human.

Thinking about viscachas again

There are valid reasons for sure. I just think Kelly is a head the ball of epic proportions.

I mean, I wouldn't vote for Kelly in a fit, but when considering where they stand as a party I think I put more weight on the fact that party leadership is backing Connolly than that one contrarian TD is voting Humphries.

I post about Adham a lot because we've become friends over the course of the last year or two and I care about him and his family, but also because his story resonates with me - how many of us are only in our safe law jobs and homes because of a twist of fate and geography?

I want so badly to see Adham and his family safe and secure, even if it means leaving Gaza. Imagining a life where his mum can have a safe house, his cousins can go to school, and Adham can start practising law again - it shouldn't be too much to believe in!

Thank you for the 'get well soon' wishes, btw. I am kept busy attempting to keep my lungs in my body despite the coughing, but I appreciate them 💜
