The sequel introducing a car full of annoying early 2000s movie teenager stereotypes surviving the big crash, setting them up as the new central group, only to immediately kill them is admittedly a pretty funny bait and switch.

Final Destination 2 goes full "hey remember the last one, it's that, again" but 200% meaner. Pretty sure they want your rooting for death this time.

Started going through Final Destination movies, from a simpler time of teen horror movies. First one commits enough to the tragedy to trick you into thinking you're briefly watching a movie about grief and survivor's guilt.

Gans and crew really get the murky, rusty aesthetic and texture of the first game, but yeah, once they get to the church and everything has to be explained in exacting detail, it falls off.

Hey friends. After having open heart surgery in Dec and another procedure in July, I've been left in 10k+ debt while recovering. During this, we were also laid off from Skullgirls. To try to help dig myself out, I have begun listing things on eBay: ebay.com/usr/mshinzan

These games burn me out so badly by the end, I can't look at the menus or hear audio samples without going into fight or flight mode. I was YEARS late to New Vegas because the Fallout 3 in there is still so pronounced.

There are probably worse that I've forgotten about but few stick with me as terrible experiences by the time the credits roll like Bethesda games, where any novelty of the setting or mechanics curdles into a death march through a broken amusement park ride. Fallout 4 finally was the final straw.

What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)

You can always turn down the difficulty, ending 2 and 3 can be gotten by splitting up a save 2/3rds of the way through. It's a little bit of a grind but the game is also not very long.

I know Eraserhead has this long legacy as a freak movie that will mess you up but it's really more a surreal comedy than anything.

Jack Nance isn't like a Dracula or mummy, he's just a guy

Browsing HBO's horror section and I dunno about this one
Eraserhead promo image of Jack Nance, with "Unleash the monster" above it

This'll also be my Lost in Fog action run, so I'm prepared to get hurt

Endings 2 and 3 are fun, complementary "better" finales to the first but leave threads and feelings dangling. Curious how the 4th will bring it all home.

Ending 2: wow this seems almost happy, haha nevermind, great body horror bit

Silent Hill f ending 3 boss: ok here's the literal thing we've been teasing, happy now? (No)

See those are actual expressive things, batteries are invisible and just make things go, couldn't be more boring

"That IS a good deal on batteries." I say to myself, hyper aware that I'm nearing my 40s.
