Some people don’t have family to feed them

Some lack access to a church that will accept them

Personal responsibility isn’t the solution to hunger

Many SNAP recipients work. 1.3 million are active duty military

The problem is low wages & high cost of living

Tax the billionaires. Feed the hungry

Perioperatives COVID-19 erhöht die Sterblichkeit, insbesondere in der ersten Woche der Infektion."

They’re not ready for flu or covid today, either. Hugely increased sickness absence rates among staff, constantly overwhelmed capacity, boomeranging patients with nosocomial infections compounding the issue.

Reporters must stop accepting this. Options:

-Laughing at him. Long and hard (combine with others)
-"It's your job to be informed"
-"How can Americans take you seriously when you always claim ignorance?"
-"I've never heard a speaker claim ignorance so often"
-"Nancy Pelosi knew what was happening"
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

If avoiding a painful and disfiguring rash - and potentially permanent nerve pain and nerve damage - isn’t enough for you, multiple studies have also shown that shingles vaccination can lower dementia risk, possibly up to 20%
In the US: If you're 50 or older (or 19/older & immunocompromised), please get vaxxed against shingles. It's no joke.

"With more than a million infections a year, herpes zoster affects nearly 1 in 3 adults and is now recognized as a systemic inflammatory event...

I think the Reagan ad is most effective not by the topic but by reminding everyone that presidents don't have to sound like insane morons.

Some of the details may be disputed but this man’s cause of death was determined to be dehydration. It takes over a week without water for an adult to die of dehydration. One officer’s suggestion he needed medical attention was ignored. There’s no plausible situation where this wasn’t intentional.
Lamont Mealy, a mentally ill man, was locked in solitary confinement in a Maryland prison. Guards shut off water to his cell. A fellow prisoner says guards taunted him. He died of dehydration after 8 days. His family's lawsuit asserts officials covered it up.

Every time I hear someone who was in government in the UK in 2020 mention lockdown, I immediately remember walking through the streets of Belfast during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, seeing throngs of people packed in restaurants, and thinking this will kill so many.

Carney: But this decades-long process of an ever-closer economic relationship with the United States is now over. And as a consequence, many of our former strengths as a country—more particularly, our economic strengths based on close ties to America—have now become our vulnerabilities…

In the audience tonight is Charlotte Bennett, one of the 13 women that Andrew Cuomo is credibly alleged to have sexually harassed while they worked in his government.

She can't speak for herself because Cuomo's lawyers have hounded her.

So I confronted him.

Turkeys opposing Christmas.

Partners derive almost all of their income from one source, but not considered to be employees.

Receive share of profit, instead of salary. Firms don't pay employer national insurance, Govt loses £bns.

I’m disgusted by the photos of Ttump’s demolition at the East Wing, but I’m even more sickened by the renderings of his mar-a-lago ballroom dwarfing our White House. Once we’re rid of this despicable man, that ballroom must also be removed.

It’s a testament to the power of disinformation and toxic politics that Britain is recognising the national train wreck that is Brexit…yet, at the same time, Farage — the man who drove that train — is flying high in the polls.

Neoliberal shackles and the state mustn't directly invest in productive assets.

China govt is investing $47.5bn in semiconductors.
India $18.2bn.
UK £10m.

Who is more likely to get industrial advantage?

Private sector can't identify national priorities.
Rachel Reeves’ budget must reduce inequalities and increase spending capacity of the masses

If you’re feeling sick, please stay home.

If you can’t stay home, please wear a mask. Ideally an N95.

Covid is a social justice issue. Mitigations cost money. Many can’t afford the protection they need.

If you’re able, donate to a mask bloc. Carry spare respirators. Help protect each other!

Health Canada puts out guidelines recommending N95s and clean indoor air!

Let’s do this!

Yes it’s overdue, and no it doesn’t address every risk factor, but we can significantly curb COVID with respirator use and clean air.
