Genuinely curious about the reasoning for bumping it down because of what the leg shot victim said. Mightn't it be seen as they were trying to stand down the shooter by being belligerent instead of running and definitely getting killed? Rather than actually wanting to be killed

@theyoungcenter.bsky.social has been advocating since 2004 for independence for Immigration Judges. Most people don't understand that Immigration Courts aren't in the judicial branch. They are under the DOJ, executive branch. Judges are employees, can be given quotas, fired. We need independent IJs.

The Take it Down Act, which makes threatening to distribute nonconsensual intimate images a federal crime, was passed on May 19 of this year. According to reports, Mills made at least one threat after this date.
