It just seems to me "Do you have any Nazi tattoos?" would be on the list of questions you would ask any potential candidate...
As if we needed to give Magneto more cover for the absolutely bat-shit things he's been pulling off since the silver age...
what the fuck does this mean
It's kinda unsurprising to me that the guy with the Nazi tattoo on his chest is being supported full-throatedly by Bernard Sanders in his run for political office... but I don't really have much more to say on that.
Rose McIver as Liv Moore in iZombie...
I hate doing this because it puts unrealistic expectations on an artist who probably just wants to do their own thing, but my God does Joy Crookes feel like the heir apparent to Amy Winehouse's sound. And not in that way where she feels like a pale imitation, but a successor, influenced but unique.

Just imagine if you put all those smarts into something completely asinine like… considering the ethical implications of monster sex

The call to adventure & the separation from one's ancestral ways of magic. Particularly the way magic is created & then codified. Magic that is "systemified" into science, and how two magical traditions can communicate with each other & still be disparate.
Okay. I'm going to try something, today.

If you've followed me for a while, you know I LOVE worldbuilding and lore. I LOVE the idea of using secondary-worlds to obsessively explore ideas that move you. So, here's my question. If you built a fictional universe, what ideas would it explore & how?
When I saw the withdrawn penalty on Saka, I saw it from one angle & thought it was a clean tackle. I saw from the other & realized he'd been hit on the knee long before the defender got to the ball... that has to be a foul. Yes he got the ball but he went *through* Saka to get to the ball...
Every time I look up my American football team, the algorithm changes my FYP in less than optimal ways...
When the temperature starts to rising & the inheritance of people from Memphis, Arkansas, & Georgia starts to slipping out... I was born & raised up here, but too many spades games, or too many whiskeys & people start to asking questions.

All I'm saying is you've never seen them in the same room together
These last war ads are in fact... giving me agita. I hate them so much.
I laughed way too hard at this question because of who it was being asked of...
Warren Ellis may be a creep, but he got some shit right with "Crooked Little Vein." The cell phone camera has created some fundamental changes in the way we get news & the way we tell stories...
One of the more incredible stories out of LA this year has been how a taco review blog became the best on-the-ground coverage of ICE raids in the city.

They do a dispatch every day, follow-up on the kidnapped people (which almost no media outlet has done), and fact-check government claims.
@lataco.bsky.social first began as a blog documenting local Mexican cuisine. Now, it’s an essential reporting powerhouse to the city as Trump’s mass deportation plot unfolds.

Excellent thread about Airports, that is probably somewhat true for most service industry spaces. Please ask specific questions & let me know if you're not exactly sure how to phrase your question, cuz it does neither of us any good if I answer the question you weren't *quite* asking...
A life update: this wound up paying off. I'm still applying to several jobs that are hopefully careers, but I've got my survival needs covered by a job at the airport that I'm apparently pretty good at.

And instead of being in an office alone, which was driving me mad, I see 20k people a day.
There is a line around this building to get to the line entrance to wait to get into this job fair.

At the airport. For airport jobs.
I almost feel bad for the man, cuz sometimes it be's like that & you just aren't as libidinous as your partner & whatever the reason, it just doesn't work out & neither of you is satisfied with the results... there shouldn't be any shame in that, but he wasn't faithful, so fuck him.
Keith Urban is leaving his sexually insatiable, hot-as-hell wife... who he was also cheating on... which just goes to show, some people just aren't capable of being faithful, they will find a reason. I mean... I wouldn't have told the world that was the reason, but still.
I love them. VERY, VERY much. I was an animal obsessed/ zoology obsessed kid & the 2nd quartet, The Immortals, was swords & sorcery with an Animorphs twist. The Lioness Quartet is first in chronology. Very fun, very feminist pre-Potter YA literature.
Sorry, that was abrupt, I meant to say if you enjoy Redwall these might be interesting to you. Not apropos of nothing.
Have you ever read any of Tamora Pierce's Tortall books? There's 3 Quartets & a couple of leftovers around. You'd probably enjoy those.
Tip grabbed a sample from almost every track on this Freddie Hubbard record...
Great, now the only thing I can think of, is Wayne from Letterkenny as Odysseus trying to get home to make sure the Degens from Up Country aren't sniffing around the property...
The Odyssey is one of the world’s most inspiring and enduring stories of a man voyaging for years powered solely by the indomitable spirit of human will and a deep suspicion that his wife is getting railed by those guys in town
