Yes. Regularly. Hamilton does not have a congestion problem, but it does have a housing problem and we all have a climate problem. The solution to those is densification, and that requires better transit.

I don't even like Mamdani's policy planks but the low-orbit ion cannon the *entire US economy* is firing at him has me rooting for the guy.

And yeah it's been a revelation on the state of American media.

I mean theyre endorsed by the fed.

So a builder tries to build one of these mediocrities, the city says the usual zoning site plan design review guidelines setbacks yadda yadda and foot drag as ever, and the builder says "the PM says this is good and how much housing accelerator $ are you getting?"
pxtl.ca
Maybe the designs give them a standardized metric for cities? "This is a known-good design and you managed to drag out approvals for 2 years say byebye to the housing accelerator money".

“Turnkey homes now include solar panels as if they were fridges. Young people save up for photovoltaic kits before they buy cars. Charitable organizations that run orphanages and schools now also provide loans for small solar solutions.”

But this is Tim Kaine, a man whose greatest political achievement is that he's so milquetoast he could fade into the background behind Hillary Clinton. Like Mike Pence, VP picks who are there to be as normal and boring as possible alongside their prez. Interchangeable parts, complete with Lego hair.

I miss the days when Ben Mulroney was just Canadian Vampire Ryan Seacrest.

My son recently declared that it would be best if the Orks won because at least in the neverending nightmare of war they'd actually still be generally having a good time.

I can't really blame them for being strict. Both for controlling the direction of their creative project, and trying to avoid publishing pro-fascism materials that are a natural risk of the WH40K setting's roots as fascism satire.

Yes, but I still stand by the description of the 99 Binbrook on that map:

Why is Binbrook?

"Steps from Rapid Transit service to the Eastgate GO station" would be something you could sell to developers at Heritage Green and the Meadowlands and Limeridge Mall. Throw in an Upper James stop too so it's intersection of A-line and this highway-express-bus.

Okay, Fredo.

Since people are still on this, and saying that Marcotte is a chump for not realizing that they were always Nazis:

Marcotte ran John Kerry's blogsite during his presidential run... until she was hounded out by Republican ratfuckery for being too-angry-leftist.

She knows who they are.

Reminds me of the old days of Twitter "we can't automoderate the Nazis because any heuristic would also catch normal Republicans".

This. I have a 2020 Prius and it charges fully in about 5h on a regular outlet. It only goes about 40k before it has to turn on the engine, and running the AC defogger while driving up-hill will kick the engine in... but for driving around #HamOnt it's just the right range.

Maybe Toys R Us got upset about Jeffrey (epstein) the Giraffe?

Yeah. It works a bit better when the hero is a good-natured fuckwit so he can be pleasant while being oblivious to his part in the horror, but even that can only sustain things so long. Harry Harrison's "Bill the Galactic Hero" is an amazing novel along those lines... but the sequels aren't.
