I don't like the constant drama about everything, I'm here to see 20 cars go round in circles and be fascinated by car and aero development, particularly when it comes to exploited loopholes

...national sporting body suddenly realises no F1 driver has respected article 2.5.5 b) of Appendix H of the FIA International Sporting Code for at least a decade, decides now is a good time to make an issue of it.

I've watched the FIA make lots of mistakes over the last 6 ish years (some of them serious) and they almost never admit a mistake was made.

Like, people are going to make mistakes. Own it and improve. I feel like I'm going insane.

It's worth noting that in the fan video of this incident taken from the grandstands, Lawson is going extremely slowly, in a situation where one would expect him to be at maximum attack to make up time.
Frankly it's a VERY rare occurrence of a driver actually respecting double yellow correctly.

There is only one place where blame of any description can lie for this incident - race control.
They have all the data, the live trackers, the cameras, the comms and the ability to neutralise the track completely. They carry the responsibility of maintaining safety for marshals on the track.

Add the race director informational broadcast while you're at it too

Good good good. Appreciate the follow up and clarity.

I'm sorry, drivers have to take avoiding action if the race director fucks up?

Well done Mexico
If we had a cloning machine we could just run 10 Tom Coronel's and have the entry issues fixed

OK, here's my thinking.
Has he got a 'point'? Honestly, yes. All things considered, sure he has got a point.
Has he got a 'case'? Honestly, no.
It's too long and the key information is from someone who isn't known for reliability.
The precedent set if it goes his way opens a very destructive door.
Kinda silly considering where Verstappen ended up on entry at T1
He didn't have a choice in cutting in the first place + he gained no positions from it after Hamilton overtook him, given apex rules

must be wild if you worked at McLaren all through the dark times when the biggest celebration you got was a Freddo (possibly) and now every week it's champagne in the boulevard o'clock
Silly idea for a new account on here:

"Tom Coronel Followed You"

- follows everyone posting about motorsports, because traditions
- additional incredibly silly and cringy Coronel related posts

Cant believe Bob Seconds won the Mexican Grand Prix. Well done Bob
I know them, but like this isn't what I'm thinking of

It's like 2 pictures of people and their heads are cut off at the mouth so they can talk like Canadians in South Park

One guy doesn't know anything and one is explaining the season to him

Some shit about Massa at Ferrari being bad, idk
Now I'm thinking of some silly comedy recap of an early 2010s season. I kind wanna watch that now

But I don't know what it was called anymore
Found this pic of Sainz parked and getting out from yesterday's race

Looks like Sainz car wasn't off track at all and displaying signs of being on fire, so I'd say a VSC is justified

Throw in the narrow gravel strip perpendicular to the apex to destabilize cars if they don't go straight on too then
Reposted by Lena
did this really need to be a VSC?

I understand their caution to some extent but surely you just leave the car where it is for the last couple of laps and cover it with yellows

Those complaining about the Virtual Safety Car at the end of the race should note race control had good reason to be extra-vigilant given what happened earlier on.
