Me, coming in to work this morning: "I'd do anything to not have to grade today."

Me, discovering Canvas is down: "Wow, this is bullshit, now I can't grade today like I planned!"
Particularly proud of how I navigated the finals matchup against Mega Absol box, after the same opponent had crushed me in a league challenge yesterday.
I don't have the playmat to show off (store didn't receive them yet), but I got my first League Cup win of the season, and fourth ever! Played my same Ceruledge list from Milwaukee, which is the same as the one @skylon.bsky.social published on Metafy except I added a Jamming Tower. #PokemonTCG
Wisconsin Cheese Mart if you're looking for things to take home. The one they have that's just "Wisconsin 5 year cheddar" with no other identifying information is really good, and shockingly cheap for how good it is.
Heck yeah! We got introduced to La Masa by friends, and now it's a regular stop when we're in Milwaukee.
Worth noting: it does the "choose your look" (as opposed to "are you a boy or a girl") thing at character creation, but the "look" you choose still determines how other characters gender you. Once you're past the tutorial, you have free choice of clothes and hair regardless of look/gender.
Enjoying it so far, and I'm barely out of the tutorial. But I had the exact opposite opinion on those two games, so take that with a grain of salt.

Not sure the folks at NBC/Peacock thought this one through
I appreciate the detail of having the speech bubble go right up to his lips like older cartoons used to do.
I have often tried to type \item and ended up with \itme, and... yeah. It me.
My favorite part (from the full video) might be the brief moment when both announcers agree that two players have been put out, but can't agree on *which* two.
what in the hell just happened in Milwaukee

from now on I'm just going to truncate the taylor series for sin at the first term. sin(x) = 0 for all x. this approximation

- is efficient to compute
- has bounded error
- has excellent analytic properties
- has very high accuracy for small values, which occur frequently in applications
I'm a little behind on October drawing, so I combined two prompts from different lists, and ended up with something about to go terribly wrong at @offcolorbrewing.bsky.social.

Reckless driving is killing us. St. Louis deserves more than paint and photo ops. 1/9
Then it was a weekly pullout program in grades 3-4, a totally separate homeroom in grades 5-6, and after that kinda gradually phased out and got replaced with honors/AP classes or similar in each subject.

The grade 5-6 program was particularly fantastic, I thought.
I was in it as a kid; our program was specific to the district, and I assume each district set up their own thing. The usual way to get in was some kind of standardized test ("IQ" or otherwise, not sure what it nominally measured) that all kids took in second grade.

Don't you dare put that baby in pelican mouth.
Looks built for Vitality Forest, but I feel like decks like PultNoir might like it too, just gives you tons of board development.

Saw the new cycle track under construction along Tower Grove Ave. yesterday, and *wow* does it look nice. Can't wait to ride over there once it's done.
