No. My reflection’s definitely there, but the ploy was to get people to zoom in and then admire the brushstrokes of a gifted/flukey 10 year old artist who shone bright and then was spent for ever after. Honestly, I’ve tried this side of art since and it’s all been terrible. But for this one moment…

Here’s a painting I did when I was 10. The result of a troubled mind? I’ve done more paintings since, but they’re awful. This is a one-off or fluke. Now when I look at it I think about people so unhappy and frightened and desperate that they’d rather flee and take their chances on the high seas.

I don’t know what your dream means but I wouldn’t be surprised if Netflix turned it into a series. Contestants have to swim through rooms like this avoiding traps and work out how to escape the room to enter the next one. All for the highly coveted fake sheepskin.

Monsieur Barson had that songwriting knack. He and they never really get the credit they deserve. Loved by millions but are never in any serious songwriting/music discussion. And do you know what? I think that’s fair.

I think Eminem is/was very good with words and telling stories. I can confidently state Eminem I am not. I’m not really enjoying it. I find it quite stressful. I much prefer singing. It’s just the music I’m making suits a rapper. I should probably find one instead.
