Paypal is now playing harder ball on artists, going after anyone even mentioning commissions.

Artists, send invoices. That way, no one has to say what the money is for on Paypal's paper trail.

Customers, SAY NOTHING about commissions. Just say "thanks" on donos.

My gallery full of literally nothing except family-friendly, SFW artwork = Permanent ban from Stripe that never gets reviewed. I made my appeal on August 20th; the dashboard still says "Appeal in Review." Censorship is a joke. We NEED support more than ever, and payment processors are killing us.

Artists don't just own their work, they own the digital makeup of their work. That's all digital art is ultimately: a hyper-specific arrangement of data.
GenAI can't function without ingesting a massive collection of that data. Its resulting algorithm is derived solely from data we make and own.
