So, I’m kind of tentatively branching out into podcast production, so here’s my pitch -

Obviously there are too many podcasts in the world, but as someone who listens to a lot of them, my great issue is that - even among some of the prominent ones - the production values often aren’t very high.

I still find it quite a difficult record, but I think when you look at it retrospectively in terms of how it’s travelled into modern music, even into the dead mainstream, I think it’s fascinating.

The YouTube usage is even more opaque. It would be cool to know where and how my music was used, but PRS can’t tell me that (no fault of theirs I don’t think.)

Rates for Netflix continue to mysterious and, I suspect, utter shit. I got 38p for ‘660 hours’ on Queer Eye, and I have absolutely no idea what that actually means.

I know I sound like the people in the early days of the internet here, but re education the answer seems obvious - don’t use it! Not all learning needs to be done on a computer! The idea that it does is extremely new!

I figured. I also suspect it CAN’T be to the level of an A Level eng-lang but more ‘to the level of a seventeen year old’ surely?

Even then it’s dumb, but I just can’t believe that they’ll be shepherding incoming immigrants through the foothills of philology.
