You're writing this down right? Good. As I was saying my car sucked so bad my wife left me. Yes I can spell my name for you.

NEWS: CBS News head of standards Claudia Milne has quit. It was announced in the network’s 9 am editorial meeting. Bari Weiss was not on the call. According to a source, Milne gave thanks but did not say why she’s leaving the network.

the extent to which media elites treat liberal americans as if they do not count in the body politic is a real problem
Congrats, you’ve invented the in-house publication.
this is the dumbest shit i have ever read
Shooting my shot...underhand.

Man, it’s been sad to come back from Riyadh and two weeks of amazing comedy and community building to a country in shambles.
We get it. You said the same thing on Whitney Cummings's podcast.
This is what drives me nuts. I think of all the journalists who did things the right way but who were driven to quit or who were fired and are now folding sweaters at The Gap or doing data entry, their professional dreams shattered while this ethical sieve thrives.
Good morning! This job has its highlights from time to time.
For UConn Magazine, I talked with Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier about UNRIVALED and the burden of being an advocate and a superstar. (FYI: These interviews took place long before Phee's most recent comments about the WNBA.)

Unrivaled
Forgive Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart for not gushing over the success of Unrivaled, the three on three women’s basketball league they cofounded.

@atbashhang Bro I used to work at Auntie Anne's and the amount of people I had to turn away because the Al chatbot did the same thing and gave them an interview time when we weren't supposed to take any made me feel bad every time
Yup. There are so many writers and editors who do everything right who get laid off or are driven to quit. Nuzzi commits a cardinal sin in her profession and is (check notes) handsomely rewarded.

It'd be hilarious if it weren't so unfair.

If you leave one magazine job and go write a book, apparently for a major publisher, and you deliver your manuscript and take another magazine job less than a year later, when did the exile part happen, exactly?

Cue the excuses of:

“They were joking”
“They’re young and still learning”
“It’s not as bad as it looks”
“If you take this seriously, you’re too deep into your liberal echo chamber”

(Sorry for the profanity.)
(Sam Altman walks onto the stage and faces a crowd full of investors. He sighs heavily and approaches the microphone. This is his moment. He feels it in his soul. It’s a time his legacy will be made.)

“TITS!”

(The room erupts in applause. Attendees throw wads of cash at a beaming Altman.)

Literally nothing coming from the Pentagon, DHS, or DOJ should be considered credible unless backed up by an independent source outside of government. (This, for the record, is a huge problem!)
Of all the things that didn’t happen
Screen shot of ABC article with the headline “cartels issuing bounties up to 50k for hits on ICE and CBP agents, DHS says.”
(After two minutes an aide approaches Trump and whispers in his ear)

“Oh, right, so anyhoo…Charlie Hustle died…”
Trump opens the Charlie Kirk memorial event: "This is the first time we've been at the new and improved Rose Garden. And people are loving it. They are loving it like they have not loved a lot of things."
And she's not funny! So she's really hitting the ball to all fields.
I don't think Poynter publishes stories on basketball cards, but I can ask.
