Kingston will be the venue for another important international meeting aimed at protecting our Ocean next week - with a specific focus on what is called the Wider Caribbean Region. The United Nations Environment Programme's (UNEP) Cartagena Convention Secretariat will host the meeting from October 13 -16, 2025.

A Coopers Hawk on a roof. It was raining and the bird's feathers are floofed a bit. Some of the orange breast feathers seen even though the shot os from the back, with the bird looking over its left shoulder. Red eye visible and crokked bill. Banded dark tail feathers and grey back also floofed.

Hi Paul, well gowing coral has been happening for some time, but ocean temperatures are so high that bleaching is still an issue so results have been a little bit mixed. The same with actual artificial reefs. It’s very tricky.

I am afraid this is true, with US and UK possibly the worst offenders. It's another form of denial, in a way. Criminalising people who are standing up for the Planet doesn't seem right does it...
