My old university spent absolutely loads of money on a rebrand where they dropped the comma between "Queen Mary" and "University of London", while everything else was getting completely gouged

This is an incredible thread, and if you live in Newcastle and want to hear more about it, next Tuesday evening at the Hancock, and book your place immediately (I can give you a discount code to get it free), I might not have to cancel it for lack of uptake www.nhsn.org.uk/events/richa...

Absolutely banging haul from @westwoodbooks.bsky.social in Sedbergh this weekend, go there immediately. This cost me just shy of forty quid! All of this sadly wasted on John Brown the cat, who understands neither the written word nor the concept of money

Today marks the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

This year, it comes as the UK is about to pass a law guaranteeing the right to bereavement leave for miscarriage, making us one of only 4 countries in the world to offer it.

My heart is with everyone who experiences the heartbreak of baby loss.
