Had to get up early to get ready to go to an all-staff meeting thing in the city 😑 I guess the plus side is that, between the all-staff & the office hour thing in the afternoon & the associated commute, I probably won't be expected to get much actual work done today.

I still remember my home phone number from when I was seven years old because the parents drilled it into us in case we got lost.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Excuse the quick and dirty scans, but if you can get your hands on the magazine, you'll be treated not only to Plum's 1/32 Shira-DOW kit dolled up to the nines, but scratch-built Republic aircraft and more. The 1/700 scale scratch-built Prince of Minadan carrier is especially sumptuous.

Happy to report the newest edition of Scale Aviation is dedicated to Wings of Honnêamise. All the banger models; props, jets, aircraft carriers, rockets etc. Naturally, no wheeled fighting vehicles, but more than enough for Royal Space Force freaks.

I wanna still love October, but it's become a time of the year with constant weather fronts coming thru & regular huge storm systems that come up the coast & then just sorta... hover ominously for several days & the whole time the barometric pressure changes give me an awful anxiety/brainfog feeling
