thank god the red zone channel started running commercials. when it was commercial-free i'd get to 7:30 p.m., look at how i'd spent my day, and realize i'd burned through an entire sunday without growing or developing at all as a consumer. and if i'm not a consumer i'm nothing at all

The Kaleb Horton memorial this week, deftly & entirely organized by the tireless @marieberd.bsky.social, was a great sendoff. A lot of people who couldn't come sent beautiful flowers. His family told me it touched the to see how many people cared. And we had a spread of Porto's pastries like this:

watching the Tron: Ares trailer, the Tron guy's tron technohelmet gets turned off, and Jared Leto's face appears--well friends we laughed out loud in the theater at that little surprise. I can't say it bodes well for the movie

It's one of those opinions which is just wrong but ubiquitous, I suspect because the people saying it secretly don't like and don't want to deal with any subjects as unseemly as those explored in those movies. The other tell like this is when dogbrains mention how much profanity is in Goodfellas.
