This precedes postmodernism as IMO the original sin of the left. The left has ALWAYS been “splitters”, prioritizing purity over functionality. If you’re not pure enough, your ideas are dismissed. If you push back, the ideas become anathema rather than examined.

Within a company? They certainly do. Almost all company cultures are reflections of the values of the founder. People who don’t fit the culture get laid off or leave on their own.

The most crossplatform UI framework isn't a Web Browser. It's VT100 terminal. The programs using ANSI Escape Codes will very likely be usable in 10-20 years unchanged. And this isn't a good thing, btw. API politics got so bad we can't agree on how to put a triangle on the screen.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.
