What if I only ever post here about Metallica recording a cover of "We Built This City" as a personal favor to me
I've been kind of surprised by how many young people are making Louvre heist content using the PINK PANTHER theme. Do they know the Pink Panther or did it start with someone and go viral sans context?
This isn't an exact match for my tinnitus but holy shit it's magical. I can hear this and the ocean and ambient noise in the house, but barely any hissing inside my ears (and no more turning ceiling fans into phantom music) youtu.be/Ke2BopotSIU?...

SCOOP: Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner apologized for homophobic language and antigay slurs he admitted to writing on Reddit in an interview with me this afternoon, after I confronted him on comments I discovered from as recently as 2021.

Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner admits using ‘indefensible’ antigay slurs in unearthed Reddit posts
"Today I find that stuff abhorrent," Platner told The Advocate. "And I am sorry that I ever used it.”

Ohhh, the east wing is where the woman stuff happened, everything makes a lot more sense now
Wow! And they aren't even scented on purpose.

It's amazing to me that so many people comply all the way down the heavy equipment operator. Oh sure, I'll bulldoze the White House.

The East Wing was where Eleanor Roosevelt welcomed all visitors to the White House.

That must have kept this administration up nights until they could knock it down. To build a ballroom we can't afford, during a shutdown, for a president who just posted himself dropping shit on the country.

Not enough of you believe me right now, but "Rebuild The White House" is going to become one of the most popular slogans in American political history

Why does everyone keep calling it “The Epstein Ballroom?” Please stop repeating “The Epstein Ballroom” because it is not called “The Epstein Ballroom!” Don’t tell the news that it’s called “The Epstein Ballroom” and please don’t repost this!!!!!

It’s far from the most important thing, morally right now, or in terms of the human stakes, but the ballroom thing is really breaking my brain.
Sick to my stomach about the demolition but cackling all the way through this Groverballhaus thread

I am going to be sending angry paper letters to all the donors on the Trump list saying "why did you pay to demolish the historic White House East Wing without taxpayer consent?" not because I think this is the most important thing, but...
There's a couple of nesting pairs around here somewhere and I've seen adults and juveniles in the afternoon vulture kettle over the bay and flying home around twilight but WOW
Like this but about 20 yards away and well above the water. It was flying away, not toward me, so I saw the tail and the funny little legs and not the serious business face. Those legs are so funny and could murder me!!!
A bald eagle just flew by to fish in the surf!! I was too shocked to get a photo in time! It was between me and the sun so I couldn't see the coloring but heard the (not a hawk) cry & was like, nah can't be, and then it dove and its little pantaloon legs were a-dangling for the catch and I screamed!
Does anybody know what this was?
I am begging you all to stop falling for Chinese propaganda accounts just because they make Trumpists look bad.

Add Cincinnati to the rapidly expanding list of cities where homeless students sleep in parking lots because their families can't afford a place to live.

You guys, the person exercising the powers of the presidency is constitutionally disqualified from holding the office and he’s having the White House bulldozed. This is true and it’s happening, right? I’m not dreaming this?

They fucked up the demolition by not doing the proper due diligence and to cover that up, they are tearing it all down.

This year, my 7th-grader has a math workbook on actual paper, and it is a gamechanger. He can see all the diagrams. He can write on the margins. Yesterday's homework was page 88-89; today's is 90-91. Easy.

The technology is a barrier to accessing the work long before they get to the content.
