yeah, i think a commitment to public health obligates you to get vaccinated and, when you are sick, do what you can to avoid spreading that to other people. the demand that one mask at all times in public spaces is, i think, unreasonable.

Al Jazeera is doing videos of the Palestinian releases and they're heart wrenching. One man was detained for over a year and was released to find out that Israel had killed his two kids. The youngest was three. Her birthday would've been on Saturday. He'd made a small bracelet for her in prison.

was gonna talk about this before learning D’Angelo died but I recently listened to a show about how early onset gastrointestinal cancers (pancreatic included) have increased around %80 since the 50’s and the cause is thought to be related to a rise in extremely processed foods and micro-plastics

Its not classism either, because I respect and have had many line cook friends while working alongside them. It's more like a specific type of standard that I cannot let anyone in my vicinity sink below 🥴

Crocs are not redeemable to me. Because they look like you're supposed to be BOH staff like a line/prep cook, but good line cooks should know better than to wear shoes with holes in them (and if they are doing both then I just imagine the smell of feet 😭)
