A reminder that the brutal occupation of #WestPapua and the ongoing persecution of Indigenous Papuans is a horror that is largely undocumented & invisibilised. Like so much black suffering, furthest away in proximity to Whiteness, their revolution has NOT been televised.

All the best for the transition to your new chapter, and for a strong recovery. Here for any hysterectomy chats any time!

My first day without a womb was my first pain-free day in years & I’ve been living life to the fullest ever since 🥰 I buried her under a plant that she killed but tried again with lots of Pounamu, and a new plant grew eventually. I think of her all the time, she’s close by & we’re both happier ❤️‍🩹

When I posted a meme saying that we should support Tish James like we did Jimmy Kimmel, heaps of white people began attacking me. Not on Twitter, here on BlueSky. A whole bunch of guilt ridden, hit dogs came here to holler. The problem with America is that racism survives progressivism.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Hearing him speak, giddy off his win with such a depressing voter turnout, is gag-inducing.

This elder - with respect - is such a rich representation of why mediocre middle New Zealand men with poor communication skills and delusional with White Privilege, expose our desperate, DESPERATE need for intelligent, competent Māori / BIPOC leadership more than ever 😩

To ask a pakeha majority to remove representation of an indigenous minority is ongoing white supremacist colonisation. #nzpol

Speaking to my bro in Qatar about how much it means when @tepaatimaori.bsky.social show UP in Parliament, how their actions expose the deep-seated coloniality of so many of the institutions that have NEVER historically accommodated for Indigenous communities. Globally relevant power moves MUCH. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Fix Auckland? Fix deez nutz bro. Wtf have you been up to for the past three years? Auckland’s flop era continues for another term. A civic, social and cultural tragedy.

I ache for the end of privileged mediocre men in leadership. It’s painful.

You have to have a pretty high care factor to participate in local government elections. I came pretty close to losing all my fucks to give.

I've seen the ballot boxes at the supermarket about 5 times & vowed to bring the orange envelope on my next visit. Then I visited the library, forgot the bastard thing again. So visited another library, got there at 5.02pm, closed. Finally drove to Pak n Save yesterday for the only reason of voting.

Principled positions are great, but where is the community you serve and represent, and why are our voting rates abysmal :( These are systemic issues maybe beyond the scope of local government, but the system is broken, and I wonder if it even matters who is inside trying to drive it...

Neo feudalism and megacorps are betting everything on getting all of us addicted to low effort dopamine and paths of least resistance. Organizing and movements are important, but I think it's going to be equally important to retrain our brains to pursue joy that exists further than one click away.

Ikr, it’s mostly for connections with my Fijian family, but I have to engage for this new job and it’s reminding me why I deactivated my account for years. Hostile as fuck, and foul foul vibes.
