Perfectly captures some kind of surreal nightmare.
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.
Send me lots of clickbait slop and I too become worse and hostile
the extraction class desperately wants to turn the internet into a badly automated ouroboros of engagement slop that shits ad money with no pesky labor

but researchers across three universities found that the more LLMs are trained on clickbait slop, the worse and more "hostile" the models become
Clickbait Gives AI Models 'Brain Rot,' Researchers Find
Brain rot doesn't require a brain, just this one simple trick.

And with pictures that are maybe AI and definitely months old, it’s all smoke, mirrors and performative nonsense anyway. 10/10. Maximum Elon.
Absolutely obsessed with framing your employees sleeping on the floor as a humble brag

“Look how hard my team works” no dude you’re just bad at project management.

„The exam also validates a candidate’s ability to complete the following tasks: Explain the value of the AWS Cloud.“
They have an amazing 50s coat
Don’t we already have Gen Alpha for that?
(Sorry 2030s Gen Beta…)
Sequoia cribbing notes from a16z?

Big cloud providers bring a lot of baggage you probably don't want.

- Amazon's management
- Microsoft's security
- Google's deprecation policies

Not to mention all the AI and US politics

The future of the Internet is much more...distributed (I hope)

If I had to guess, I’d guess this is the beginning of the death of public clouds. We’ll still *have* public clouds, but current clouds are synonymous with:

- internationally trusted
- runs public, critical, and consumer infrastructure intermixed
- wholly immune to market and customer influence

Very curious what actual researcher feedback is here. Because the partner list sounds like a joke “Caylent, Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, PwC, Quantium, Slalom, Tribe AI, and Turing”
Four finger swipe between multiple desktops!
If it works out (big if, considering the technological limitations), it will be interesting to see institutions kill their own talent pipeline.
Is it? The company in question, doesn’t build their own models. Sure, they use them and resell them. But that still leaves the question of how to deal with this internally.
Still sounds bad, but the failure rate of standard digitalization projects is around 70%…
On the other hand I don’t really like the Atlantic article either. In parts it’s hilariously bad researched. The mentioned MIT research with the 95% AI initiative failure rate is often repeated, but says something completely different. In the context of major LLM providers the number should be 60%.
company. And they have nothing. Some user feedback, sure. But zero structured research. It’s kind of amazing in its ignorance.
The really weird thing to me is the lack of more studies on this. I get why it is difficult. But as a multi billion dollar company I would definitely spend some money on finding out in detail how it works. Or not. And I literally texted yesterday with someone who works in the CTO office of one such
