I’d be interested to learn what the overnight viewing figures were for Riot Women. Think if you put the right content out there people will still be drawn to it. We know that traditionally peak terrestrial TV viewing figures are over autumn/winter.

Cosy crime book sounds intriguing. Is this one for younger folk or aimed at adults? All I can suggest is read novels that are heavy on dialogue and see how they marry that with description.

She played a great part as Alex Drake’s lawyer mother in ‘Ashes to Ashes.’ Seen her in many fab roles.

Yes. Clearly she’s there to unnerve Beth. Will be interesting to see where their relationship goes and how the lasses individual stories develop, both in the band and away from it in their daily lives.

Next time someone in the industry says nobody’s interested in stories about mature strong women stick them in front of #RiotWomen. It’s struck a chord with the public because it’s so relatable. Hey, half the population are female and the menopause will come to all of them. Sally Wainwright aces it.

Fact that neither Beth nor the other women in this opening episode are taken seriously by the worlds around them says so much about how society treats women over a *cough splutter* ‘a certain age.’ Ghastly demeaning term. Expected to keep lapping up whatever crap the world serves them. #RiotWomen
