It is nominally due to a planned fare system outage, but I like to think it is a little treat to show everyone how great Chicago transit is. Plus, it is a great opportunity to revel over the unparalleled night service on several train lines and buses in the city. It is going to be 11 PM to 11 AM.

I am becoming convinced that autonomous vehicles are designed to solve the problem of "I live in a wealthy suburb but have a horrible car commute and don't want to drive anymore but also hate trains and buses and refuse to ride a bike."

The hilarious thing in this case is that is already a location with great bike and transit connectivity. There is already low car ownership rates. more density will only lead to better walkability, bikeability, etc.

One day - *one day* - a UK newspaper will do a similar count of motor vehicles speeding inside a 20mph zone.

In 60 minutes I saw 172 cyclists run these lights – it’s a matter of time before they kill someone
