FYI for twitch streamers: You can disable the annoying bird promotion on your channel by navigating to Creator Dashboard->View Rewards->Rewards

so they're not just asking for protections and countermeasures but also saying that these industries become central drivers in economic growth and provide them with funding to create more studios, games, anime, localizations, more staff, better working environments, etc.

the piracy part feels like the least interesting part. what's being asked is for the government to take the anime and game industry more seriously because for the first time due to rapid global growth in popularity, japanese content export market value now exceeds their semiconductor export business

and as a reminder this is all from the same hack that was shared awhile ago showing dev stuff about previous games. the person claimed they wouldn't share this future stuff until plza released. i don't even know why you feel the need to anyway. stuff may get scrapped because of a leak like this.

wrote up a bit of info on a less common US revision of Micro Machines for the NES, featuring a pretty nasty bug, discovered just a little too late and then worked around by using a PLD to patch a single *bit*. this is what day one patches looked like in 1991!

Newgrounds has a very helpful guide for detecting AI audio over at www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-in... for anyone interested in catching AI-generated music. Don't rely on any service that uses AI for detection, that's just using slop to find slop and you'll get false positives/missed catches.

i don't even think most hot takes are coming from any sales community tbh. though none of these slides should really be in the hands of cherry pickers and people who don't even try to learn how games are made. we also don't know other parts of the budget either as TPC are big spenders on marketing.
