Which will be relevant in future as some of those new arrivals areeeee spies, who are going to be causing some problems in... probably a year? This quest they're on is starting late Summer and will take them into mid-Fall, so probably only a small thing before Winter hits and it's rest time.

I'm doing the 5e port! It was a really last minute decision on my part and I didn't feel confident about learning a whole new system in that time so picked what I thought was going to be the more straightforward option! (I was wrong, the LotR 5e is quite different and there's a lot I am learning)

Running the next session of my Eriador campaign this weekend, and the first of a 3-shot for the Strixhaven group I play in next weekend.

Planning another in-person one-shot for Nov to introduce new people to TTRPGs (this is how the Eriador game started), and volunteered to run 2 one-shots in Dec.

Dark Vibrations - Inktober 2022 black and white ink illustration. Plain rolling hills lead to the door of a building with a large central spire and a small covered porch. To the left side of the building is a three facet bay windows and the other windows have ornate stained glass. On top of the central spire is a lighting conductor in the shape of a 5 point star. In the highest window of the spire is stain glass in the shape of an eye. Converging at the start is a large vortex spiraling and expanding through the whole sky. The vortex is pulling party’s of the building up towards it and cracking parts of the wood and foundation. The vortex is casting light and highlights on the building and the tress behind it. Converging towards the building is a circle of 12 white bird silhouettes.

Also the music is GREAT and I died to The Underking as instead of fighting went "omg this sounds SO good!!!" and wanted to listen to that more than fight.

That fight was hard. The sense of accomplishment on beating him? High.

DEEPLY enjoy the fights on waterfalls/rafts/bridges as yes, you can launch your enemies to their deaths off the side of these things. Very satisfying.

Hilarious when I accidentally ran off the bridge myself, served me right for all the people I sent flying off of it.

and chaining them together in new/interesting ways. I still don't understand what some of them do, or how the work.

Enjoy that dying is part of the gameplay loop as it allows you to upgrade your skill tree, and also see different parts of the world as you take a different path through.
