As Umani's youngest grandchild, little Zigi is growing up in a cocoon of love. He is so beloved, in fact, that the older orphan girls are in a constant battle of wits to be chief nanny. Ultimately, it means Zigi benefits from an entire herd of devoted carers ensuring his safety and happiness.

Faraja was born unique. Whilst most elephants have dark grey skin and black hair, he had pale skin and white hair – one of only two elephant calves ever documented with these rare markings in Amboseli.

Bold and strong like her ex-orphan mother Sonje, one afternoon, Sulwe showed her mettle when warthogs emerged from their burrow and caught the group unawares. The nannies quickly gathered the babies, but Sulwe stood her ground and blew a squeaky, shrill trumpet to chase the intruders away!

Few artists’ entire body of work have meant as much to me over the course of my life as Drew Struzan’s has. With his gift every movie felt epic & important whether the artwork was framed in the movie theater lobby or sitting on the video store shelf.
