Survivors of industrial and reformatory schools have been on hunger strike outside the Dáil now for 23 days.

They and other survivors need justice. They need access to HAA medical cards and full state contributory pension.

The government must act now.

Are Irish people so insular that they failed to realise Brexit had sizable support on the British Left?

Main issues were it's lack of democracy (still true), and neo-liberal polices (also still true).
Today we could add it's support and funding of Israel.

Note: Peter Howe Browne. He was a direct descendant of Gráinne Ní Mháille, yes Granuaile herself.

And no. They were not all 'English' settlers.

For example take Mr Florence O'Sullivan of Kinsale who owned over 2 thousand acres (unspecified number of enslaved people but he wasn't working that land himself) in Carolina in 1680.

I was amazed when I moved back to Ireland in the 90s at the lack of induction loops in places like banks, cinemas etc. I still am.
Such a simple way to help make places more accessible.

I have sensory sensitivity so sounds going directly into my head are torture. I learned this when Walkmans came out. Only headphones I'll use are the big ones, and only over one ear.

But aside from that the thought of those yokes in my ears gives me nausea. And itchy ears

For years my O neg wasn't allowed as I lived in UK during the mad cow years, now it's no good to them as I'm insulin dependent.
I used to donate a few times a year.
