Thank you so much! That's incredibly kind of you to say and I'm really glad you like it!

Yep. I get asked to rip off work ALL the time. I always do due diligence & steer them toward the original artist (or away from the concept).

The worst thing is when the brief hides the source & you discover AFTER the fact, that their 'idea' has been lifted wholesale from someone/where else 💀

Yeah, it's definitely a manual 3D rip off. The majority of their work is 3D/CGI and this is pretty bare bones stuff.

Although, their instagram reveals that they are now pivoting to AI, because of COURSE they have...

My agent's going to speak to them... Will see how that goes!

I'm going to reach out to them first. If/how they respond, then we shall see!

Sadly, this is 100% accurate

The only reason I stumbled across this was because Insta fed me some godawful AI garbage from a '3D' studio. I looked at their profile, scrolled down and found this!

Genuinely, the only plus so far was when I made the side by side comparison and thought "hey, maybe I *do* know what I'm doing!" 🥲

This is my origin story (a man who sits in front of his computer and loudly yells "WHAT THE FUCK!?" every few weeks)

They HAD to have my animation as the base for it, right? There's just too many near identical shots.

They even have them saying "WHEE!" repeatedly. Am I insane?

Here's my original for context

So, I stumbled across this animation (left) that a professional studio made for a commercial client last year and a lot of it seems VERY familiar to my 2023 'PEAS' animation (right)...

A detective series, where they travel around the country, solving mysteries.

Absolute carnage when Jay Kay turns up, and all the evidence in the crime scene starts sliding around. Banksy's always *just* out of the frame...

This gave me instant panic-soaked flashbacks. Circa 2006-ish, loads of large ad agencies & studios swapped out their big clunky CRTs for exciting new, flat LCD monitors. All with the worst colour gamut imaginable...
