When I saw Alien on television for the first time, I was surprised at how tame it seemed. I think the difference (besides big picture and sound) was the presence of an audience, whose reactions definitely helped to enhance the experience.

After the 1999 edition was finished, Margaret gave us a copy of the final edited text files, just in case we needed them in the future. After Margaret left Pocket, the files went missing. If she had not provided them to us, the 2016 edition would not likely have been possible.

Remembering Pocket Books' Star Trek editor Margaret Clark, who would have been 70 today (Oct 13, 2025). We worked with Margaret on several editions of the Star Trek Encyclopedia. Her foresight even made it possible for the 2016 edition to happen, many years after she left Pocket.
