"I didn't become a teacher so I could fight with the government. I became a teacher so I could make a difference."

Teachers have been extremely clear about what they need to help students succeed: more teachers, more classrooms.

The UCP wants to replace "Wild Rose Country" with "Strong and Free" on provincial license plates.

The minister responsible said caucus, alone, decided on the change. And that the move was "clearly non-partisan".

Here's the official party logo.

You be the judge.

The tide is starting to turn in downtown Calgary.

In my latest piece, i write about the sixth and latest office-to-residential conversion to reach completion, the iconic Petro Fina building, and how a combination of city-led initiatives is breathing new life into our city's core.

Formerly the headquarters of Canadian Fina Oil, the 11-storey Petro Fina building has been converted into 103 apartments

All the press reporters have handed in their press badges to the Pentagon, even Fox propaganda News handed in their press badges. The regime is losing control. We the People are fighting back. The regime is going to increase the violence to try to get us back down. Don't stop the resistance.

How did Danielle Smith conclude her govt had the right to arbitrarily change the province's licence plate to Strong and Free, a UCP political slogan, with zero public impetus or input?
Smith has had a change of heart since she was Wildrose Party leader in 2014 when she slammed the PCs plan to remove “Wild Rose Country" from licence plates.
"I also joked that it was great to have advertising for the political party I represented at that time on the back of every licence plate.”
Alberta may no longer be known as "Wild Rose Country" — at least on its licence plates.

Why study history? Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., who was born on this day in 1917, had what I think is a great answer. Not only is it a "fascinating intellectual enterprise" and "a necessary background for wise public decisions," it also is essential for "a civilized personal life."

Glad to see my Minister of Finance, Nate Horner, being properly compensated with $1.65 MILLION taxpayer dollars for the drought conditions affecting his ranch.

To the rest of Alberta farmers also affected by the drought, you don't get anything, but keep voting conservative!

This is fake news.

The UCP has had enough of the RCMP always investigating us for fraud and corruption.

It's time Albertans have a police force they can trust who answers to the UCP and won't hold us accountable. It's time for an Alberta Provincial Police force!

A graphic showing statistics from a Pollera poll conducted in 2025 where 81% of Albertans believe there are more important priorities than changing who polices local communities. 78% of Albertans in rural and RCMP-served areas want to keep the RCMP in their communities. 77% of Albertans in RCMP served-areas are satisfied with their policing.
