Oh nooooo, Lindsey Halligan, this is not how any of this works

I seriously am having a hard time dealing with this. The fact that literally no one seems to be willing or able to stop it is mindblowing. This is not his house! He does not have the authority to do this! It's an insane microcosm of this entire era. Dems should be out going scorched earth on this.

It’s kind of wild that after seven million people were in the streets protesting, the president posted a hallucinated video of himself wearing a crown and shitting on Americans and then proceeded to start demolishing parts of the White House

If I ran for President in 2028, I’d run on taking a bulldozer to Trump’s ballroom, an utter desecration of the peoples’ house. In fact, I’d invite the American people one weekend to bring their own sledgehammers & crowbars to the White House to help tear that abomination down.
This is a desecration and an abomination. First he posts an AI video of himself wearing a crown dumping shit on the heads of Americans, then he starts tearing down part of the White House for his Mar-a-Lago style ballroom.

I went to high school with Ralph Hise and he is a disgusting individual. North Carolina should be ashamed to have him in public office in any capacity. It's mortifying.
The GOP (specifically redistricing chair Sen. Ralph Hise) can say this out loud without legal repercussions because the NC Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that partisan gerrymanders are lawful. Racially-motivated gerrymanders are (for now) not, which is why they're not (for now) talking about race here.
North Carolina Republicans are saying the quiet part out loud. Openly admitting to drawing a congressional map for Donald Trump.

It’s not just politics — it’s corruption. North Carolinians deserve free and fair elections, not gerrymandered districts.

The reviews for this game were some of the funniest of all time.
‘Extreme Paintbrawl’ released on this day in 1998.

Marketed as "The First Non-Violent 3D Shooter." Reportedly developed in just two weeks time, and leveraging a half-finished version of the Build engine that functions exclusively within MS-DOS running on Windows 95.

Clearly Trump lied when he said his $250 million ballroom wouldn’t “interfere” with the White House.

So who’s watching this mess; the White House Historical Association or the Office of the Curator? Because someone needs to make sure he’s not bulldozing history for a dance floor.

There’s a limit to the “imagine if Obama” retort but Christ on a cracker the man is *literally* demolishing the White House!
If Obama or Biden or Clinton had demolished a significant part of the White House to build a privately funded edition that they commissioned and approved without public input they would have been summarily impeached.
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

Tens of millions of people are set to lose food stamps in weeks and conservatives are celebrating it right in the open on social media. They’re gleeful about starving children, literally saying “fuck them kids.” Yet another reason that “pro-life” is a misnomer. They’re loudly pro-death
If the next Dem administration doesn't immediately demolish the ballroom, I will lose what's left of my mind.

There used to be entire architectural associations whose whole purpose was to lose their minds when someone tried to change the way the White House looked. Taller fence? Gasp! Close the street in front? Quelle horreur! Where'd they vanish to?

unfortunately the wanton destruction of government property is allowed without congressional approval if it “makes a really good metaphor”

The whole point of democracy is so one person's derangement does not become everybody's problem. It's social hygiene. The fact the richest men in the West are a mix of grotty twelve year olds and deranged apocalypse fanatics is a problem, and we should be honest about it.
I hope that place is crawling with asbestos. And lead. And killer giant scorpions.

This is definitely one of those things that people would’ve called you hysterical for predicting a year ago.

Trump is going to destroy the East Room of the White House without even asking Congress and build a ballroom with funds from private companies that are seeking favors? Settle down, lib.

Absolutely livid. I hope the wraiths of Dolley Madison and Jackie Kennedy haunt him nightly for the rest of his days.
Seriously, I'm burning up with rage. This is catastrophic vandalism and probably completely illegal, but no one will say boo about it.
I almost literally vomited when I realized what this picture was of. HOW IS THIS HAPPENING??? HOW IS THIS BEING ALLOWED???
This is insane.

“It won’t interfere with the current building. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of," Trump said in July. “It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.”

Speaker of the House holding a formal presser to announce that Jesus is the king of everyone in the USA should be getting more attention
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."
