Oak trees, in an evergreen forest, put on their prettiest autumn dresses
Yep, same here! Clouds like brimstone and then just...dispersed. at least I don't have to do the mad rush to cover fire wood etc.

If you’re out there writing stories, you’re doing it right. Don’t stop.
Sorry that I ate all your ice cream
Love this! Also, this is why I don't swim in ponds.

Goodnight.
🖼️ The Water Sprite, Theodor Kittelsen, 1887–1892.
This is a reasonable expectation
It was around this point in our walk/run that the mist was getting heavy and the leaves began to dance, like a secret was about to be shared.
You too! It feels like a good time of year to get outside and get some heavy breathing in.
Me too! In truth I did more walking then running, but got in a good 5 miles and feel pretty good now, though ravenous.
Are we sure this is a terrier? I'm getting gremlin/evil koala vibes

If a vulva is euphemistically referred to as a mound in a romance novel, does that mean a penis and scrotum is almond joy? 'Cause of the nuts?
3 of my top 10 favorite Historical Romance novels are from this series! (It Started with a Scandal, What I Did for a Duke, and A Notorious Countess Confesses) And the whole series is GREAT!
Fingers crossed that my local thrift shops have treasures to unearth today. Dearest Universe, I'm in want of more art, art, art, and also need a very large vase for a Halloween arrangement.

Destruction of the East Wing of the WH is this quote:
"They were careless people... they smashed up things & creatures & then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, & let other people clean up the mess they had made."

I let in one of the neighborhood cats, the dark one I call Dorian (because he is Gray), and he went directly to the box in my home office where I keep documents to be shredded. He meowed at the box and looked up at me like, “I could shred those for you.”
I wanted him the way I wanted the white chocolate covered pumpkin-spice pretzels from Traders Joe's. I was obsessed; I couldn't stop. But even while I gorged, I knew: in three days I will never want to see another pumpkin spice pretzel ever again. Well, until next pumpkin spice season.
I'm in love with my husband's boss. She's a tough talking, dryly funny, charmingly grouchy, get shit-done folk hero. I've only met her once but everytime I'm around to hear one of their conference calls I want to interrupt to ask her if we can be best friends.

If this was the 1850s in a frontier town called Horse Shoe, I feel like a local resident called Miss Abigail would be anxiously peering out the window looking for her glass bead delivery so she could make a fine pair of earrings & trim a lampshade on a lamp given to her by her Great Aunt Beryl.
I think I may have a hay ride and/or pumpkin carrying injury. I'm still rock and roll though.
When I finish an excellent library e-book and can return it early, it feels like a stroke of luck when it's a weekend day. Hopefully the next person in line also has the day off and can dive right in.
