Yeah one of my jobs at the park slope coop was “soup kitchen.” We’d go through the banged up fruits and veggies, set aside whatever was still edible and push huge carts of it down to the neighborhood soup kitchen

How about the super tall one near the park, 432 Park Ave, that is cracking and may rain chunks of cement down bc the white cement they used is weaker than regular cement

my teenaged kids simply do not hand it essays without running them thru grammarly. My son is dyslexic and his spelling atrocious so I used to be ok with it. But now 1) it’s a gateway to AI writing and 2) it should not be editorializing

Also, again, this is against the interest of agriculture. Many many farms depend on people using snap benefits to buy their farm products

Many farmers rely on Medicaid too. Several farmers I know already were saying they’d have to shut down if they lost Medicaid

This ICE removal operated by Omni Air International is now making its second stop, in Sri Lanka. So far, migrants onboard have spent 34 hours in handcuffs, leg irons and a waist chain. There may be more stops.

Omni and its parent company were purchased in April by private equity firm Stonepeak.
