The single biggest giveaway of the scam is the money ejaculation for compute. Bigger models aren’t better. This sort of scaling is fundamentally not needed. It’s hype and the people in charge don’t understand their own product so they just press the button.

This is a much better question when asked about boosters.

Like I think these things are great. Just spoke at an IBM conference about them. My talk was about how all the boosters are lying about what they do and obscuring the actual cool shit they do.
