Dunno. If you google "most hated word in the English language" pretty much any source will have moist on it, at or near the top. Phlegm and mucus also rank high!

Absolutely. And you can totally write out of order. 100% of the time, chapters you don't want to write are something you shouldn't write at that time anyway. 50% because they're a drag & should be cut; 50% because you're not clear on what must happen & they'll turn out much better if written later.

In case it helps: I try to have metaphorical cake before dinner whenever I can, meaning I prioritize what I feel like doing as much as I can because it fills my well, from which I draw later to take care of drudgery. It's impossible to do stuff you don't want to when your well is completely empty...
