Granting that it's not the focus of the piece, I have to nudge politico a bit on this. There was a clear editorial decision to treat slurs against the disabled as clearly less troublesome than any others. Selective censoring reinforces the idea that some slurs are no big deal. Psst: they're all bad.

Anecdotally, the longevity and health outcomes for Black ballplayers feel much better than those for actors and musicians; don’t overlook the good work the MLBPA and MLBPAA do to ensure lifelong coverage and stay engaged with players to connect them to care.

When your job is kidnapping people and brutalizing civilians, you *should* be in danger. You *should* be at risk. And you *damn* sure should be identified for the public record. ICE agents are not at undue risk. If anything, they’re far too safe.
