You see PP’s hands? Our friend’s nephew came to our house 3 years ago. 18 years old, very much into body building, into menosphere. He was sitting like this, & told us this way of keeping hands means I have power over you. Seemed childish. Now I see our Official Opposition Leader copying that.
They will be spelled out in detail in the upcoming budget, on Nov 4th. He said that. Here he’s explaining his reasoning for the approach to the budget. Also, considering all the expanded/restarted social programs within the past 6 months, it’s safe to assume the sacrifices won’t be on safety nets.
In honouring the horseshoe theory, you’ve become the cons. He just expanded the dental-care, restarted negotiations with more provinces for pharmacare and daycare programs, made school lunch program permanent, announced automatic tax filing for the poor. Your comment is rage-baiting and you know it.
Yeah. That’s what a country threatened by a superpower needs.
Still doesn’t make sense to me. Cons asides, it’s one party against three nationalist/sovereigntist parties. Naturally there should be a vote split there, against PQ, not the Liberals.
Then the Quebecois shouldn’t vote for PQ! I don’t understand. The guy is clearly screaming he wants a referendum. How come at least ~60% of Quebecers don’t want to separate but PQ is ahead in polls? Another referendum just scares away more investors and talents, exactly like the last two times.
Honestly I don’t trust “anyone” to have that much of a power. Extreme case: There’s exists such a mechanism in Iran, Council of Guardians, that has prevented any woman from running for president, ever, while there’s no rule forbidding it even in their backward constitution.
Ha?!
Is that even legal? I’m pretty sure it’s not even one of those clauses that can be frozen with the nonwithstanding clause.

What was wrong with what the prime minister said? It was normal jargon in the setting he was speaking at. PP constantly demonstrates how inexperienced he is! You attend one conference centred on economics, one meeting, that’s how we talk. He wasn’t giving a speech here. Audience wasn’t the public.
A couple of friends invited us to accompany them to go to Orlando together and when I said no we’re boycotting they’re like oooo you and your boycotts! 😐 These are anti-MAGA people, as most Canadians are, but there was a deal so why not take it 😐
People can be really lazy in adhering to principles.
It’s unnatural how much Pierre Poilievre and this guy look and sound alike! They both make your skin crawl just by listening to them 🤢 Nonstop lies and own goals, and their supporters don’t even have the capacity to understand they’re being played.

KARL: I mean, you could swear in Adelita Grijalva tomorrow, right?

MIKE JOHNSON: No, not tomorrow. We couldn't. We wouldn't.
Why do they all blink like that? It’s scary!
75 million Americans voted for the Democratic nominee in the 2024 federal election! 75 million! That’s the constituency she’s talking about!
I don’t understand why suddenly Trump’s deal was hailed as “The one!” I grew up watching US presidents on TV making “deals” with Israeli & Palestinian sides of the conflict, thinking “This is it!”
It never is, because there’s no enforcement mechanism, no punitive measures, specially for Israel.
🤷🏻‍♀️
Seems like just a few days ago that Trump declared everlasting peace in the region thanks to his brilliance.
Trudeau is out there enjoying his life, and this sorry little man is sitting here reminiscing about the good old times when he could bully the guy. That’s just pathetic.

F*ck right off with the Trump bullshit! 🖕😡🐂💩
How much longer can Canadians tolerate this asshole?
Poilievre says those involved in the Trudeau-era scandals should be JAILED and face criminal charges. #cdnpoli
What happened to the lady after that “last $8”? Is she alive? How can that be her “last $8” then?
And how exactly are we hiding this “other side” of PP? He’s the one displaying only an attack dog 🤷🏻‍♀️
$75M?! We’re cancelling vacations, boycotting their products, not even buying their strawberries, and this elected guy is spending $75M?!!
Come on. They’re middle-eastern. They’re not American & Canadian. Justice has to be served, meaning that even if every single Palestinian is murdered, this woman’s thirst for revenge will not be quenched. Justice & due process only applies to Western citizens.
He “can move mountains with the sheer force of his will”. Oh the Supreme Leader!

Do they hear themselves?! The level of sycophancy is nauseating.

As a Montrealer, this makes me so proud! 🙌
“Though other cities offer bike-sharing programs, “Montreal revolutionized the trend,” TIME wrote, calling Bixi’s technology “the backbone” of bike-sharing services in cities including London and New York.”

The list also includes the iPhone and the Large Hadron Collider, the world's largest particle accelerator.

First of all as someone with pre-existing health conditions and issues from having COVID I should be eligible.

Secondly, there should be ZERO barriers much less financial to anyone seeking preventative vaccines.

You think anti-vaxxers are loud?
We need to be louder.
How come in the next poll only 45% are sure about the safety of MMR vaccine then? Such a weird poll 😐 Like 55% of people aren’t sure about the vaccines or are against them, but 75% think vaccines should be mandatory for children? Doesn’t make sense.

I knew RFK Jr’s garbage doesn’t stay in the US.
"Which is closer to your point of view when it comes to vaccinations and childhood disease?"

Vaccinations for children should be mandatory: 72%

Parents should be the ones deciding whether their children should be vaccinated: 23%

They’ve gone up, but 1,1130$ in 2019 for two bedroom doesn’t sound right to me. In 2017, we were paying ~1100$ for a one-bedroom in Longueuil. We actually had to move out of Montreal to find a deal like that. We were both PhD students at the time, so any apartment was fine if we could afford it.
Asking rents in Montreal have literally doubled since 2019:

“Rent for a two-bedroom apartment in Montreal has grown from $1,130 in 2019 to $2,272 in October 2025.”
