I'm not above replying "stop indulging in student politics, you are just helping Farage!" to centrists the moment the Greens are ahead of Labour in the polls. It will be funny EVERY time.

Given the competing self interests of Polanski (make a fairer more sustainable world to live in) and Spectator owner multimillionaire Marshall (avoid paying taxes on hoarded wealth), I’m going to go with Polanski
zackpolanski.bsky.social
The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes.
The most important levers would be 1. reform of accountability measures. Weight something like P8 by how far a schools GCSE entry cohort reflect the demographics of the community including SEND 2. make it part of funding agreements
And the schools that have denied them places directly or indirectly being lauded as outstanding and their execs sitting on DfE regional advisory groups and staffing improvement teams

Wow: Helen Hayes, committee chair, says: "All of us, as constituency MPs, see children not being offered places at schools of their choice, because of their additional needs." That's a massive criticism of the schools system.

Quite a bodying, here, for the UK, from the Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe.

🏮 He points out the Supreme Court ignored human rights (which breaches its legal obligations)
🏮 He says, in effect agreeing with Lucy Powell, Parliament should be involved...

Maybe there's something in this Nigel Farage and Nathan Gill Russian bribes story....
Lots of stories about Nathan Gill and Russian bribes.

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

The tabloids are right, #Polanski IS dangerous....but for all the right reasons.

Unlike #Farage, who is dangerous for all the wrong reasons.

Polanski has talked about ending poverty amongst other things.

I would like the #Greens to add a #CriminalLaw4Politics too, start to clean up politics.

The foreign secretary says the UK has been contributing to the peace process.

No. What the UK govt has been contributing to is the extermination of the Palestinian people.

The discourse in the West for the next few days will be e.g. "for all the caveats, let's just be relieved". And no, let's not. That's a feeling for Palestinians, not us.

Palestinians are human beings who deserve much better than the choice we've given them between genocide or colonial subjugation

Palestinians will feel understandable relief. The West should feel nothing but shame. Gaza has been obliterated. The territory rendered uninhabitable. Tens of thousands murdered in cold blood. The entire population subjected to starvation tactics. And now, colonial subjugation under Trump and Blair
