Looking at this a bit more closely, this guy won PRECISELY BECAUSE he raised the "salience" of immigration via attacking ICE raids, and this won by a sizable margin in one of the most important swing counties of all, Bucks County in Pennsylvania.

Yesterday brought news that country star Zach Bryan is dropping a song critical of ICE.

Today, the official DHS account trolls him by using one of his songs (without permission, one strongly presumes) over the kind of cinematic footage Trump loves, of masked federal agents clashing with Americans.

In a genuine WOW moment, this administration publicly acknowledges (perhaps for the first time) that an ICE officer violated procedure and will be taken off duty and subject to an investigation. We must condemn Charlie Kirk's murder, that goes without question. But we can't dismiss that much of the hatred coming from the right is targeted at migrants and sadly has a death toll. We also must not dismiss the political violence happening in American communities everyday.
