I haven’t used “gypped” or “spirit animal” in years, but TIL about “long time no see.” Guess what? I’m not upset about it. I’ll just say any number of other things that mean the same thing. (It’s actually really easy to adapt to new-to-you information, if you keep an open mind.)

“Getting gyped” - referring to getting scammed or cheated. Used to refer to the Romani coming from the term “Gypsy” which I also don’t say

“Long time no see” - Chinese immigrant pidgin that was copied into American lexicon

“Spirit animal” - Americans bastardized from its original native meaning.

I have a IdeaPad that's on its last legs. purchased spring 2018. the only thing I never liked about it was the sound capacity. it seems like it'd had excellent quality of it was much, much louder. my Inspiron blows it out of the water.

to this day I wish I'd watched The Ring from behind the couch.

a friend bought me that DVD. I watched it, alone in the apartment in the dark as it had never been a problem before. as soon as I was able, I took that disc and sold it.
