Colette was more interested in delivering old, tired digs than in finding out anything new about the candidate or her position on any of the issues facing Ireland. Climate change being the big, obvious one, and how nature is treated here. Rivers, lakes and woods all being destroyed under FFFG.

Many yrs ago I worked with people in addiction recovery, mostly drugs. Many had served time in prison, some >1. I never asked a single one what they had done. They were in recovery, were trying to change their lives, their past was irrelevant. This is normal.

I was stage manager and production manager of an award winning show about the prison system, recidivism and mental health of prisoners. We had a former convict in the show. I never asked him once what he had done as it was irrelevant to the man standing before me now and the story we were telling.

Decisions like allowing SNN being used as a USAF base, or allowing arms to be trafficked through Irish airspace on the way to Gaza.
