先ほど電話があって「家で飼えない場合を考えて、去勢するついでに耳に切れ込み入れておきましょう」と言われました。獣医さんは家猫化は難しいと考えているみたいです...。ふふふ、チャレンジだ...。

I took my cat to the vet today. He fought fiercely. He so thick he doesn't have a neck so I couldn’t grab him by the scruff of neck. Lots of (human) blood were spilt. I imagine same is going on at the vet…. I named him Mimaki. The red smudge on the sketch is (human) blood.

I think this is Lobaria adscripturiens with too many apothecia. It does not have the ridgy lobes that characterize other Lobarias. Yachiho Kogen, Sakuho-machi, Nagano #Lichen #FungiFriends

Birch forest of Yachiho Kogen, just like the painting by Gustav Klimt. The birch trees here are native. I hope they quit cutting them down to build ski slopes. There aren’t enough snow for skiing anyways.

みんな大好き菱田春草の《黒き猫》が、修理を終えて帰ってきました。
猫のフワフワ感もさることながら、個人的には柏の葉の煌めきが一層眩く感じられ、見惚れてしまいました。

大倉集古館で評判の良かったインド更紗の展覧会（別企画）に行けなかったので気になってました。世界屈指のインド更紗コレクターのコレクションということで、インド更紗の歴史と技術、世界への広がりを丁寧な解説とともに観ることができます。インド更紗の文様に込められた意味、それが流行や輸出先に合わせ変化し、ヨーロッパで大流行しヨーロッパ人好みの柄になる。その変遷が興味深い。数百年経てもなお美しい色彩、気が遠くなるような手作業に驚く。

最後にウィリアム・モリスの「イチゴ泥棒」があって、ここに辿り着くのかと納得。
