I’m not offended that they’re trying to remake “Amadeus.” I’m just puzzled. That movie is flawless. It’s as re-watchable as it gets. How do you even improve that?

Which is just not proportionally true. Multiple comedians have broken down why being a tryhard edgy comic just makes it look like you think you're better than your audience.

I personally also think insult comedy/roasting should really be reserved for delving into as a Comedy 301 topic

Like people mainly hate identity politics because they think (pretty erroneously) that we've evolved past it because they don't see the role that acknowledging past inequity plays in healing process. And realistically, maybe that's just not a topic relevant to most dudes in their 20s.

For the past 10 years I've been saying that we need a derad movement that is largely propelled by cis men who articulate specifically why conservatism is a problem and how it only strives to reward people at the top. Has this happened yet? With twelve million podcasts out there?

I'm experiencing real-time results of this in comedy open mics now. Gen Z cis men are consuming pro-bigotry propaganda. Rape culture repackaged & glamorized.

Further--the men consuming this are being told that if they join these schemes, just like with religious conservatism, they will benefit.
