Accidentally wrote a bestseller as part of a very roundabout long plan to get people to check out my little robot guys.

It certainly did for us. Plus, I had this exchange earlier with my brother and his partner (after buying Power Up as a present for their 8 year old).
WhatsApp message from brother's partner: "[child's name] has just finished power up - he loved it! He's asked for the next in the series - great choice." Reply from me: "I'm so glad he enjoyed it. [Redacted] and [redacted] both really loved the whole series." Message from brother: "We've ordered the next one! X"

I was going to save the next #MisterGlobal till the weekend, but I have changed my mind and we're going to get into 2021 right now because there are some of my favourite looks and I kind of need it today. Same as before, read the linked thread before this one, but once you have we shall start with..

OK, I'm going to focus on the positives of the people who enjoyed the #MisterGlobal 2025 thread and gave context for outfits that I didn't have and go back and post the 2019, 2021 and 2022 contest as well (there was no 2020 contest for obvious reasons) because I originally posted them elsewhere

What a knock from Shorna Akter for Bangladesh against South Aftica. 51 from 35, 3 sixes, and a strike rate of 145 #CWC25

I can't believe they went with "IT: Welcome to Derry" when "Derry Ghouls" was right there.

You're only two episodes behind, and it's possible to avoid spoilers (I'm only able to watch the following day as it's on too late for the kids).

The sign reads: "They don't just play cricket. They play for every girl who dares to dream."

I love this sign being held up by two India supporters in the match against Australia at the ICC Women's World Cup.
Two young women hold up a hand written sign with the text "They don't just play cricket. They play for every girl who dares to dream".

every single tech idea is like “soon our robots will be capable of playing catch with your kid, freeing you up to spend more time working on your employers’ spreadsheets”

I honestly didn't spot the typo until you pointed it out. I think my brain supplied the word it thought should be there.

Train knitting. It's a mash up of Kate Davies' Dathan mitts and the pattern from the Fetlar scarf from the 2013 SWW Annual.
A half finished multicoloured Fair Isle mitt, modelled by a white hand, resting on a blue be-denimed knee. It's very bright. The lime green, teal, and hot pink, in particular, really pop against their contrast shades.

Team Bunny and Team Monkey en route to this event now! 🐰 vs 🐒
Two white children, sitting on blue train seats, and reading the new Bunny vs Monkey book. Their faces are obscured by the see no evil monkey emoji and the bunny face emoji.

Someone at the IT is having a 'mare rushing out the Budget coverage.

This was a sponsored post in my Insta Stories.

The social team needs a break and a hug maybe.
A post from Instagram stories with a swipe up link for the Irish Times. A composite image of Leinster House, Jack Chambers and Paschal Donohoe is titled "Budget 2026: Main Points" but the bullet points that follow comprise non-sensical filler text (Lorem ipsum) and snippets apparently borrowed from a restaurant review (One point reads: "Borgo review: Well-priced and welcoming", the next "everything a good neighborhood", and finally "restaurant needsLorem ipsum dolor sit amet")
lizashdowne.bsky.social
To be fair, I often walk into a neighbourhood restaurant and think "what this place needs is more Lorem ipsum".
