But then group B has better access to metal tools, etc. maybe magic becomes a factor as well, and/or knowledge of the territory. Maybe language learning (see, I tied it back into the conlang stuff) is important for diplomacy. Idk!

…And then you have more built up groups who are fully doing agriculture and expanding outward from large population centres, encroaching on group A’s territory, and playing in that space a bit. Maybe group A still has knapping as a skill bc metal is rare, so they can make weapons/tools easier

Like, I want to make a fantasy setting where they’re mostly somewhere between copper, bronze, and maybe early iron age technology-wise, with some groups living in hillforts/pit houses, travelling around with livestock, etc.
