The one silver lining I can see is that maybe Twitter won't be able to monetise every random jackass clip content account for long. Apparently they're thinking of scrapping creator monetisation, claiming it "did more harm than good" (it's bankrupting the company).

When I left Twitter almost a year ago I worried that it would become a site where I would be constantly harassed by far-right accounts, and it appears that I was right because there's now a doxxing ring whose actions are tolerated by the site itself. Get out while you still can.
